Talking Useful Brands with Dave Wascha from Travelex.
Byte is our regular meet-up of people from various sectors where we talk product, innovation and changing customer behaviour.
Over the course of past Byte events we've looked at the idea of the Useful Brand and introduced some of our ideas on how a new era of brand utility is driving new customer experiences. Off the back of in-depth research with Forrester, a consumer survey with YouGov and time spent interviewing well known brands who are themselves focusing on customer utility, our upcoming 'Useful Brands Playbook' sets out a series of 10 plays that organisations can put in to action.
For this Byte, we focused in on 3 plays around brand purpose, finding utility at the edges of the customer journey and driving utility through APIs.
"Welcoming Dave Wascha, Global Digital Product Director at Travelex"
For this Byte we were also delighted to be joined by Dave Wascha. Dave gave an overview of how throughout his career at Microsoft, Moo and now Travelex, he had leaned on similar principles to those outlined in the Useful brands book. Dave gave practical examples of how purpose and utility drive customer experiences and how APIs can fuel fast and useful integrations for new products and services.
